Assets on the Asimovo platform are used to share various elements of your work. Currently we differentiate 4 types of assets: Robots, Environments, Components and Workspace Assets. Assets are folders (or folder structures) with a Manifest file included in the first folder level. For more information about the Manifest file, please visit the Manifest file page of this tutorial.
Robot assets are any type of robot used in a simulation, while Environment assets are the worlds that are launched. Component assets can be any other software, code or part that are not Robots or Environments. Workspace assets are created from Workspaces for the purpose of sharing them on the Asimovo platform with other users. For more information about Workspaces, please visit the Workspaces page of this tutorial.
The Assets Library is where you can access and manage the assets that belong to certain projects.
You can manipulate assets in the platform in various ways, including uploading, downloading, editing metadata and editing content. For more information please visit the Asset management page of this tutorial.
This project was created for the purpose of sharing assets with the Asimovo community and is maintained by the Asimovo team. If you are looking for assets and not a full project, this might be a good place to start. You can copy any assets from this project to your own, or you can even create workspaces directly in this project. These workspaces will only be visible to you.
If you have any assets you would like to share without them included into a project, please contact us, and we'll upload them to this project. For safety purposes, adding and modifying assets in this project are only available for the core Asimovo team.
See our next tutorial about the Workspaces of the Asimovo RoboDevOps Platform.
In case you want to quickly find an asset, you can use the filter functionality. You can access this by clicking on the icon on the right, above the list of assets. You can filter for many different aspects, such as Licence, ROS and Simulator compatibility, Complexity, Creator, Tags and the Date the asset was created or Last modified. Additionally, you can also filter by selecting the asset type and showing only Robots, Environments, Components or Workspaces.
